Drink, Drive, Crash, Fire! 

June 23, 2025 – Oakhurst CHP officials report that early on Sunday, June 22 at approximately 3:40 a.m. a witness was calling in a possible drunk driver. While talking with CHP dispatchers, the witness watched the vehicle crash and ultimately catch on fire, causing a brush fire. CHP and Cal Fire responded to the scene.

Yeah, that escalated quickly. Don’t be that person!

The fire was extinguished shortly after the crash and the driver was transported to Community Regional Medical Center with moderate injuries.

Alcohol is believed to be a factor in this crash and is being investigated by Oakhurst Area CHP.
