Homicide Investigation 

June 25, 2025 – Fresno Police Department officials report that on Sunday, June 22, 2025, at 10:26 p.m., Southwest Policing District officers responded to the alleyway near the intersection of North Glenn Avenue and East Voorman Avenue to check the welfare of a male on the ground. Officers found 46-year-old Elias Santiago-Pedro on the ground in the alley, suffering from blunt force trauma to the upper body. Officers and EMS personnel provided first aid, and Santiago-Pedro was transported to Community Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased at 10:55 p.m.

Homicide detectives learned that Santiago-Pedro lived nearby and believed he was walking in the alley when he was assaulted. Detectives are currently canvassing the neighborhood, looking for witnesses and video surveillance that might have captured the assault.
