TRAIN TAKEDOWN: TCSO Deputies Bust Thieves Stealing Packages from Train Near Allensworth 

June 28, 2025 – Tulare County Sheriff’s Office officials report that at around 5:15 p.m. on June 26, 2025, TCSO Deputies were called to the area of Avenue 56 and Highway 43 near Allensworth for a burglary in progress on a train. The Conductor told Deputies someone in an SUV or truck with a camper pulled up next to the train, got out and began stealing packages from inside the train.

Deputies checked the area and found a vehicle matching the description near Highway 43 and Avenue 120.

Three men were inside in the truck, along with several Amazon packages that were damaged and angle grinders and bolt cutters.

44-year-old Mario Rodriguez, 28-year-old Jesus Lopez and 35-year-old Jesus Ramirez, all of Bakersfield were arrested on charges of burglary, possession of stolen property, burglary tools and conspiracy.
