Stolen Vehicle Recovered After Vehicle Pursuit and Foot Chase, San Andreas
June 28, 2025 – Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on June 24, 2025, at about 4:40 P.M., a deputy was parked near the intersection of Mountain Ranch Road and Rocky Road, San Andreas. While parked, the deputy observed an approaching vehicle exhibiting violations of the vehicle code. As the vehicle approached, it made an abrupt stop, causing debris to fly upward. The deputy attempted to initiate a traffic stop, but the suspect, Cena Sue Flannery, age 34 of Pioneer, shifted her vehicle into reverse and backed up Rocky Road. The deputy initiated a vehicle pursuit following suspect Flannery up Rocky Road.
After about a mile of driving in reverse, Suspect Flannery attempted to use a driveway to turn around. During this maneuver, the vehicle hit a tree and became stuck. Suspect Flannery continued to evade by exiting the vehicle through a side window and fleeing on foot. The deputy pursued, issuing verbal commands for the suspect to stop. After approximately 70 yards, the deputy caught up to Suspect Flannery, and placed her under arrest without further incident.
During the investigation, Suspect Flannery was found to have a felony warrant issued by the Amador County Superior Court. The deputy also discovered that Suspect Flannery was operating a vehicle stolen from Amador County on June 19, 2025.
Suspect Flannery was transported to the Calaveras County Jail, where she was charged with three felonies and three misdemeanors.
