July 1, 2025 – Fresno Police Department officials report that the Southwest DST officers conducted a traffic stop near Belmont Avenue and Parkway Drive for multiple equipment violations. Upon contacting the driver, officers observed several signs of alcohol intoxication.

Motor officers responded to the location and conducted a DUI evaluation. The driver was found to be DUI, as well as a self-admitted gang member.

During a search of the vehicle prior to it being towed, a loaded handgun was found with an obliterated serial number. The driver was arrested and booked into the Fresno County Jail for several weapon-related charges and DUI. He was also cited for equipment violations.
