Retired Deputy Passes Away 

July 2, 2025 – Tulare County Sheriff Mike Boudreaux regrets to announce the passing of retired Deputy Albert Walter Labrie who died June 23 in Springville. He was 86.

Deputy Labrie was hired at the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office in 1987 after serving 20 years in the U.S. Air Force. At TCSO, he worked at the Bob Wiley Detention Facility, Tulare County Correctional Center, Porterville Patrol, and Courts.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; sons, Steve, Donald, and James; and daughters Cheryl and Julie; as well as 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Sheriff Boudreaux and the men and women of the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office appreciate Deputy Labrie’s 11 years of service and offer his family our deepest condolences. May he rest in peace.
