All Fireworks are Illegal in Tuolumne County
July 2, 2025 – Tuolumne County Sheriff's Office officials announce that as everyone get ready to celebrate the 4th of July, we would like to remind everyone that all fireworks are prohibited, including those labeled "Safe and Sane."
Under Tuolumne County Ordinance Code 15.20.080, it is illegal to possess, sell, or use any type of fireworks. Violations may result in citation, fines, or arrest.
There is an approved public fireworks display in Tuolumne County this year:
- Fireworks on the Lake - Don Pedro Lake Camping, Boating and Fishing on Friday, July 4, 2025, at 9:30 P.M.
We are in the midst of fire season, and the risk of wildfire is extremely high. Please Celebrate responsibly this 4th of July!!
