July 2, 2025 – Mono County Sheriff's Office officials report that at around 11:30 a.m., on June 26, 2025, deputies initiated a traffic stop on a White Kia Soul due to vehicle code violations.

In their interaction with the driver, it was discovered that he did not possess a valid license.

Following a more thorough investigation and with consent to search the vehicle, deputies found over 3 pounds of brown heroin and 5 gallons of liquid narcotics in the trunk of the car.

The suspect was taken into custody for the possession, transportation, and distribution of narcotics.

This is an example of excellent police work by a vigilant Deputy while patrolling our community.
