Week-Long Ramp Closure Announced for Cottonwood Creek Project in Madera County
July 4, 2025 – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans), along with Security Paving, announces the week-long closure of the eastbound Avenue 12 on-ramp, to southbound State Route 99, starting next week. Crews will be doing grinding, paving, striping, and guardrail work along the on-ramp.
The following will occur from Monday, July 7, starting at 6:00 am, through Monday, July 14:
- The eastbound Avenue 12 on-ramp, to southbound State Route 99, will be closed starting at 6:00 am, on Monday, July 7th.
- The week-long closure is expected to last through Monday, July 14th.
- Please plan accordingly.
This is necessary, as the Cottonwood Creek project continues to progress and nears competition.
Due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances, the on-ramp closure date may need to be extended.
Caltrans reminds you to drive with extra care and allow additional time while travelling near construction zones. Please be alert for construction personnel and remember to “Slow for the Cone Zone.”
