July 12, 2025 – Fresno Police Department officials report that on June 30, 2025, at 6:29 a.m., officers from the Central Policing District responded to Quigley Park for a victim of an assault.

Assault #1

The victim was a 73-year-old male. Witnesses stated they saw six young males exit two vehicles and violently attack the victim and then flee the scene. The victim was rushed to surgery as he became critical due to a brain bleed from his injuries. He is currently recovering.

Assault #2

A short time later, at 6:46 a.m., officers from the Northwest Policing District responded to the area of at Weber Avenue and Hughes Avenue for a victim of an assault involving suspects and vehicles of the same descriptions. Six males jumped out of their vehicles and violently attacked a 40-year-old male. The victim was transported to the hospital in stable condition.

Both vehicles used for the attacks were located and found to be stolen.

Felony Assault, Elder Abuse and CCAT detectives worked to identify and locate the six suspects, ages 13 - 15 years old, who also were found to be prolific auto theft suspects.

As of July 7, 2025, all six juveniles been arrested and booked into the Juvenile Justice Center for PC 245(a)(4) - assault with force likely to produce great bodily injury as well as charges related to multiple stolen vehicles.
