Teenager Arrested Following Electric Motorcycle Pursuit
July 13, 2025 – Clovis Police Department officials report that on Friday, officers arrested a teenager after he led them on a pursuit while riding an electric motorcycle. Just before 11:00 A.M. on July 11, an officer in the area of Ashlan and Fowler attempted to pull over the rider of an electric motorcycle for driving recklessly. The rider failed to stop and sped off, leading officers on a pursuit for 10 minutes. After hiding the electric motorcycle and changing his clothes while trying to hide inside of his home, the juvenile teenager was arrested and his motorcycle was impounded.
Thank you to the responsible parent who allowed officers inside the home to hold their teenager accountable for their illegal and dangerous actions. This is an important reminder to parents that electric motorcycles and bicycles can be dangerous, if not ridden properly and following the law. Clovis Police will continue to enforce our state and local laws to keep our community safe. To report reckless driving or crime in progress, dial 911.
