July 16, 2025 – Fresno Police Department officials report that Northwest officers responded to the area of Marks Avenue and McKinley Avenue regarding a male asleep in a vehicle with a handgun on his lap. Officers located the parked vehicle with the windows rolled down and the suspect asleep inside. Officers were able to safely retrieve the firearm and take the 19-year-old male into custody without incident.

A second firearm was located on the floorboard where the suspect was sitting. One of the firearms was reported stolen, and the second firearm was not registered to the male. He was arrested and booked into the Fresno County Jail for numerous firearms related charges including being a felon in possession of a firearm and possession of stolen handgun.
