Save the Date: JCF Hospital Foundation Black & White Ball
July 17, 2025 – The JCF Hospital Foundation Board has set the date for this year's Black and White Ball. It will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025. Doors open at 5:00 P.M. at the Mariposa Fairgrounds, Building A. Tickets are $100 and will be available in August.
“You’re not going to want to miss the transformation of Building A into a dazzling Winter Wonderland to highlight this year’s theme, A Season to Sparkle,” said Megan Mickel, Events Committee Chair. “We’re putting together a variety of amazing items for the live and silent auctions and the raffle, from vacations to one-of-a-kind artworks and much more.”
The event will also feature a delicious three-course dinner, with appetizers, and live music.
With the help of many dedicated volunteers who gather every year to bring the event to life, the committee is looking forward to welcoming and thanking everyone for showing their support of the Foundation and the John C. Fremont Healthcare District.
“We are holding the event on the second Saturday in November again this year, so as not to conflict with the Hornitos Patrons Club’s All Souls Day,” said Mickel, “It’s another wonderful, local event and we want people to be able to attend both if they so choose.”
“The committee also wants to highlight our ongoing investments in a number of health-related areas,” said Anna Mejias, Events Committee Vice Chair.
“The new hospital is in its early stages of planning,” said Mejias. “We are actively working with the Healthcare District administration to ensure we can help them meet their goals.”
“In addition, through our scholarship programs, the Foundation is able to help the educational journeys of several John C. Fremont Healthcare District staff and high school students pursuing degrees in healthcare-related fields. With early care and investment, the Foundation’s efforts, and yours, will provide positive benefits to the community,” concluded Mejias.

Come to this year's Ball on Saturday, November 8, for a Season to Sparkle, enjoy the night, and support the JCF Hospital Foundation, in turn supporting the Healthcare District and our community's health.
In 2024, the Black and White Ball raised just over $35,000. Funds were used to support critical equipment purchases, such as neonatal equipment, mobile defibrillators, and wheelchairs for the benefit of Healthcare District patients.
The John C. Fremont Hospital Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization with the mission to strengthen the rural communities of the John C. Fremont Healthcare District to maximize health through partnership and philanthropy.
All proceeds from the Black and White Ball directly benefit the Healthcare District’s programs and services, such as the hospital, clinics, and outpatient services as well as scholarships and community health programs in our surrounding rural areas.
