Proactive Deputy Arrests Homicide Suspect 

July 17, 2025 – Amador County Sheriff's Office officials report that on July 15th, at about 3:45 P.M., a deputy made a traffic stop in Plymouth for a vehicle code violation (registration expired over a year) and he contacted the female driver and male passenger. While conducting his investigation, the deputy learned that a male subject associated with the vehicle had a warrant for his arrest, related to a 2019 homicide.

The male passenger falsely identified himself as his brother and the female driver (girlfriend) also lied to the deputy, backing up the false ID story. After reviewing photographs and confirming that the male subject was in fact the wanted fugitive, he was arrested on the warrant. The driver/girlfriend was also arrested for being an accessory after the fact, after she knowingly aided the subject in his attempt to escape arrest.

The vehicle was towed, and their three dogs were taken to animal control for safekeeping.
