Traffic Crash Fatality – Standiford Ave. and Sisk Rd. 

July 20, 2025 – Modesto Police Department officials report that on Saturday afternoon, approximately 2:20 p.m., officers responded to a collision involving three vehicles. One of the drivers, an adult male out of Modesto, was transported to a local hospital, where he sadly succumbed to his injuries.

A preliminary investigation indicates that the driver was traveling south on Sisk Road at Standiford Avenue when he struck a pole on the center median and continued, striking another pole and crossing over the median into the north bound lane of traffic. This driver continued, striking a vehicle and then another.

All parties involved remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. There is no indication of any alcohol or drugs at this time and appears to be medical in nature. No other injuries were reported.

The roadway was closed for several hours as the Modesto Police Department’s Traffic Safety Unit conducted the on-scene investigation.
