Arrest Made After Trespass Call & Firearm Seized 

July 22, 2025 – Madera County Sheriff's Office officials report that on July 18th, just before 8:00 p.m., Deputies responded to a trespassing call on Road 206. But the suspects fled before deputies arrived.

They then began canvassing the area for the suspect vehicle, and Deputy Gorman located a vehicle matching the description near Highway 41 and Avenue 15.

In that vehicle, a loaded 9mm firearm was recovered, and one suspect, 42-year-old Kristina Lura of Mariposa, was arrested. The remaining occupants were cleared.

Sheriff Tyson Pogue shared: “Our job is simple but serious: protect the innocent, uphold the law, and stand ready when our community needs us most.”
