July 23, 2025 – Fresno Police Department officials report that on Monday, July 21, 2025, at 6:52 p.m., Northwest District Officers responded to the area of State Avenue and Acacia Avenue regarding a shooting victim. On arrival, officers located 33-year-old Kuvar Kumar who was unresponsive. Despite life-saving efforts, Kuvar was pronounced deceased on scene.

Homicide detectives responded and initiated an investigation into the shooting. Detectives believe Kuvar was arriving home when he was shot and killed. Detectives are currently canvassing the neighborhood and are seeking anyone who may have witnessed the incident.
