Calaveras Dismantles Illegal Indoor Marijuana Grow
July 23, 2025 – Valley Springs, CA – Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on Friday, July 18, 2025, at about 8:00 a.m., the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant in the 2000 block of Quail Oaks Road for an illegal marijuana cultivation operation.
The search warrant, authorized by the Calaveras County Superior Court and led by the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office Marijuana Enforcement Team (MET), resulted in the removal of an illegal marijuana cultivation site. The search warrant involved a converted structure with multiple marijuana growing rooms containing 612 actively growing marijuana plants. The estimated street value of the eradicated plants is approximately $500,000.
During the investigation, deputies also uncovered serious code compliance violations related to electrical and plumbing systems, both of which posed safety hazards. The Calaveras County Code Compliance Department responded to the scene to conduct a more thorough investigation into these potential violations.
No suspects were present during the service of the search warrant, and the case is still under investigation.
