July 26, 2025 - Mariposa County Sheriff's Office officials report the Boneyard Fire is burning near Priest/Coulterville Rd. Last reported at appx. 202 Acres.

Boneyard Fire is 202 acres with 20% containment.
Evacuation Shelters

- Don Pedro Elementary School, 2411 Hildago Street, La Grange, CA
People with small animals can go to the Red Cross Center established at Lake Don Pedro elementary school. There is limited capacity, large animals can be sheltered at the La Grange, rodeo grounds.
Situation Summary
The fire is 202 acres and 20% contained. Firefighters continue to make progress on establishing containment lines around the fire. Fire activity has decreased. Relative humidity is expected to increase overnight and aid efforts towards full containment.

Numerous firefighting air tankers from throughout the State are flying fire suppression missions as conditions allow.

Evacuation Orders and road closures will remain in place overnight. Deputies will remain on scene overnight to maintain road closures and patrol evacuated areas.
The fire is affecting both Mariposa County and Tuolumne County

- Jackass Creek Road at Merrell Road - Hard Closure
- Second Garrote Road at Merrell Road - Closure

- Cueno Rd.
- Pine Rd.
- Stout Rd.
- Sierra Rd.
- Chapin Rd.
Evacuation Warnings: Are intended to notify residents of fire activity nearby. These are not evacuation orders. However, conditions can change rapidly. All residents in the advisory zones are strongly encouraged to begin preparing now in case an evacuation becomes necessary.

Per Mariposa County Health & Human Services - The American Red Cross Shelter will open a Temporary Evacuation Point at 3:30 P.M. and will be located at the Lake Don Pedro Elementary School, 2411 Hildalgo, La Grange.
