July 29, 2025 – On July 16, 2025, at the public board of directors meeting, JCF Healthcare District Interim CEO Pat Ryan announced that she would resign from her contract with the District. The Foundation Board and Executive Administrator would like to thank Pat for her stewardship of the Healthcare District for the past 15 months. Pat’s contract was scheduled to expire in December 2025. As Pat expressed at the Healthcare District board meeting, she and her company, Force 10 Partners, met their deliverables early, and it was time for her to “move on”.  We appreciate the plans Pat, District leadership, and the District Board have put into place and the positive momentum that, as expressed at the July 16 meeting, will continue with the next Interim CEO, Fred Vitello. Fred has been Interim CFO at the Healthcare District since March and has voiced his confidence in the District’s plans. We look forward to continuing our work with the District under his leadership.

While the cuts to Medicaid by the Trump Administration and this recent change in leadership may have the community feeling unsettled, we are confident that the turn-around plan initiated  by Pat and her Executive Suite team, including Fred, leave the Healthcare District in a better position to weather a multitude of challenges. The Healthcare District is a critical regional institution. Its programs, including the hospital, clinics, imaging, and long term care, serve a great number of residents in Mariposa County, including Yosemite National Park staff and concessionaire employees, residents of Eastern Madera County, and visitors to our area. These programs save lives, right now, every day. As such, I hope the community will continue supporting the Foundation’s work to provide essential equipment, scholarships that build a quality workforce, and community health programming. The JCF Hospital Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit that supports the Healthcare District.
