August 4, 2025 – Mariposa County Library announces that they are excited to share an incredible resource.

Our Every Child Ready to Read program is BACK at El Portal Branch! It will be held twice in the fall. The first session happens soon. It will be held on Saturday, August 9 at 10:00 a.m. and lasts for an hour.

The second in El Portal will take place on Saturday, September 6 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Both sessions are free to attend and are aimed at giving parents/guardians tools to help their young children, ages 0-5, on their path to literacy. Learn simple practices, based on research, to help develop early literacy skills. This is taught by local educator Celeste Freeman.
