Search Warrant Service and Arrest 

August 9, 2025 – Kern County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on August 6, 2025, Kern County Sheriff’s Office Detectives, with the assistance of the United States Secret Service, served a search warrant in the 500 block of Church Street in the City of Taft for evidence related to an investigation regarding the illegal possession of child pornography.

During the service of the warrant, detectives located and arrested 24-year-old Chase Anderson. Anderson was booked into the Kern County Sheriff’s Office jail on a charge of possession of over 600 images of illegal Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM).
