Officer-Involved Shooting Investigation 

August 9, 2025 – Modesto Police Department officials report that on Friday, August 8, 2025, shortly after 1:00 a.m., Modesto Police Department officers were dispatched to the 1700 block of Boulder Avenue for a report of a shooting.

Upon arrival, an officer located a vehicle matching the description of the suspect vehicle. As the officer attempted to contact the vehicle, the suspect fled, striking the officer. An officer-involved shooting occurred. The suspect continued fleeing but was later located and taken into custody. The suspect will be booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center for multiple felony charges.

The injured officer was treated at a local hospital and has since been released.

This incident remains under active investigation. No further information is available at this time.
