August 11, 2025 – The Mariposa County Arts Council’s Music on the Green concert series continues its summer celebration with another memorable weekend of live performances in the heart of historic downtown Mariposa.
Home Tonight to perform on Friday, August 15
On Friday, August 15, local favorites Home Tonight return as the featured band to the Art Park for Music on the Green. Home Tonight is another on the list of partner duos. Comprised of long time Mariposa County musician, singer songwriter, Gail Dreifus on guitar/vocals, and singer songwriter, David Budries on keyboard, and vocals. Gail and David are both heavily involved in the local music scene in a myriad of ways are are both very experienced musicians. Expect a show of high caliber music, undeniable chemistry and an energy of community through music.
Mariposa Ukulele Ensemble to perform on Saturday, August 16
On Saturday, August 16, Gail Dreifus and David Budries continue a weekend residency at the Art Park, but this time with the Mariposa Ukulele Ensemble. This proved to be a popular evening of Music on the Green last season. The Ensemble has been practicing for a number of years now and had around twenty players for their performance last season, complete with drummer, upright bass, singers, and a slew of different ukuleles. Their repertoire consists of classics spanning many genres and a large time frame and is sure to please.
All performances begin at 7:00 p.m. at the Mariposa County Art Park, located at 5013 Hwy 140 in historic downtown Mariposa. Parking is available along 4th and 5th Streets, with accessible pedestrian access via the lower 5th Street parking lot through the Mariposa Creek Parkway entry.
Tips for the performers are appreciated and encouraged.
