HEART Madera in Action
August 11, 2025 – Madera County Sheriff's Office officials report that members of the Homeless Engagement and Assistance Response Team (H.E.A.R.T.) continue their dedicated efforts to engage with Madera County’s unhoused population.
Daily Outreach: On average, team members make 20 direct contacts per day, offering support and building trust within the community.
Service Connection: Each interaction includes information about available services, including shelter options, mental health resources, substance abuse programs, medical care, and pathways to housing.
HEART's ongoing work is a critical part of Madera County’s coordinated response to homelessness, striving to meet people where they are and to guide them toward stability and support.
