Next of Kin Assistance Request 

August 13, 2025 – Madera County Sheriff's Office officials report that they are seeking the public’s help locating the next of kin for Michael Varela, 68, of Coarsegold.

He passed away at his home on July 23, 2025.

Despite our efforts, we have not yet located his family.
