Homicide Investigation Underway, Following Shooting in Modesto
August 13, 2025 – Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on the morning of August 11, 2025, at approximately 4:40 a.m., Stanislaus County Sheriff’s deputies responded to reports of gunfire in the 300 block of Olivero Road in Modesto.
Upon arrival, deputies located a male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The individual was identified as Felipe Ramirez, a 30-year-old resident of Ceres. Ramirez was transported by ambulance to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased due to the severity of his injuries.
Detectives from the Sheriff’s Major Crimes Unit responded to the scene and have assumed responsibility for the ongoing investigation. Preliminary information suggests the shooting took place during a large party attended by over 100 individuals.
