JCF Hospital Foundation Board Awards Rose Brochini $1,000 Scholarship
August 14, 2025 – The JCF Hospital Foundation recently awarded Rose Brochini a $1,000 scholarship as she works to complete her Registered Nurse to Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) bridge program.
Brochini is currently a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department at John C. Fremont Healthcare District. The BSN degree will enable her to learn more through additional study of the profession, from the healthcare aspects to management and leadership. It has the potential to improve the quality of care provided at the hospital over time.
“These investments are a triple bottom line win,” said Heather Bernikoff, President of the Hospital Foundation. “Not only will this award help build a local workforce with advanced training to serve our community and increase quality, but it provides an offset to Rose’s costs and helps advance her professional career - a win for the Healthcare District, the community, and Rose personally and professionally.”
Bernikoff added, “Finding nurses who will stay in a rural community can be challenging; investing in local persons with roots in our community and a passion for healthcare is how we build a stable, well-trained workforce.”
