E-Bike vs. Truck Injury Collision
August 14, 2025 – Clovis Police Department officials report that on August 13, 2025, at 1:05 P.M., officers responded to Athens/Perry, which is a residential intersection near Alluvial/Clovis, for report of a collision between a vehicle and a bicyclist. The bicyclist on an e-bike is a teenager and has major injuries. Clovis Fire and EMS responded and treated them on scene with our officers before the teen was transported to a local hospital. The driver of the pickup truck remained at the collision site and is cooperative. Alcohol and/or drugs are not considered to be a factor at this time. The cause of this collision is under investigation.
As students in the Central Valley go back to school this month, we ask everyone to use more caution. Bicyclists must follow the same rules of the road as drivers. Drivers must expect more pedestrians and bicyclists on the roadway, especially before and after school hours. Clovis Police officers will be patrolling all schools in Clovis next week to ensure everyone gets to their destination safely.
