August 18, 2025 – Fresno County Sheriff’s Office official report that deputies are actively searching for 79-year-old Ramiro Ortiz and are asking the public to keep an eye out for him as well.

Around 11:00 p.m. on Friday, August 15th, Ramiro Ortiz walked away from a medical care facility located near Belmont and Cornelia Avenues in Fresno. He was staying at the facility due to having a number of medical issues. Ramiro does not have any known mental health issues.

Deputies spent all of Saturday searching for Ramiro but have been unable to find him. He does not have a cell phone but is familiar with the area.

Ramiro Ortiz is described as a 5’4”, 120 lbs. with gray hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black hat, long sleeve blue dress shirt and khaki pants.
