August 20, 2025 – Tulare County Sheriff's Office officials report that just before 12:30 a.m. on August 17, 2025, TCSO Deputies were called to the 24700 Block of Avenue 88 in Terra Bella for a stabbing.

When they arrived, Deputies learned that multiple people had been stabbed. The suspects involved in the attack had already left the scene before Deputies arrived.

Witnesses told Deputies that the suspects were known to be active members of a local gang.

Through their investigation, Detectives identified a 17-year-old suspect who is an active member of the Norteño gang and lives in Porterville. On August 19, 2025, Detectives captured the 17-year-old suspect in Porterville. During a search of the suspect’s home, Detectives found a gun, gun parts, ammunition, gang-related clothing and materials, as well as high-capacity magazines compatible with AR-15 style rifles.

The 17-year-old was taken into custody and transported to the Juvenile Detention Facility. He was booked on attempted murder charges.
