August 21, 2025 – Merced County Sheriff's Office officials report that at 4:14 P.M., our Deputies responded to the 4600 block of Hunt Road in Gustine for a report of a male suffering from a gunshot wound. The male was pronounced deceased, and our Detective Bureau responded to the scene.

This incident is being investigated as a suspicious death. The scene remains active, please avoid the area.
