August 24, 2025 - National Weather Service Hanford Office officials report a Flood Watch has been issued for the central Sierra Nevada from Yosemite National Park to northern Tulare Co. in effect until 9 PM this evening.

Excessive runoff from storms may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...A portion of central California, including the following
  areas, Kaiser to Rodgers Ridge, Kings Canyon NP, Upper San Joaquin
  River and Yosemite NP outside of the valley.

* WHEN...Until 9 PM PDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - Influx of monsoon moisture creating training thunderstorms
    over the area can result in localized flash flooding this
    afternoon and evening.
