Avocado Lake Park Closed to Public for Fire Response 

August 26, 2025 – Fresno County Sheriff's Office officials report that the County of Fresno is announcing that effective today, Tuesday, August 26, 2025, Avocado Lake Park will be closed to the public until further notice. 

This is due to the US Forest Service utilizing the park as an incident command center to address multiple fires currently active in the Sierra National Forest.
