August 26, 2025 – Fresno Police Department officials report that Southwest DST officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of Hughes Avenue and Brown Avenue for a vehicle code violation. Upon contact, the female passenger was found to be a convicted felon and found to be in possession of a loaded firearm, drug paraphernalia and a controlled substance. She also had a warrant for her arrest.

The male driver was found to be a convicted felon with numerous warrants for his arrest. Officers conducted an inventory search of the vehicle prior to the tow and located a firearm barrel and live ammunition. Both the male and female were arrested and booked into the Fresno County Jail.
