August 27, 2025 – Madera County Sheriff’s Office officials report that the Investigations Bureau, in coordination with the National Madera SO sexual abuseCenter for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), has arrested 30-year-old James Allen Beavers, a United States Army Sergeant, in connection with the possession and distribution of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) within Madera County.

This case began with a NCMEC Cyber Tip generated in December 2024. After several months of investigation, including the execution of multiple search warrants and recovery of electronic evidence, detectives identified Beavers as the primary suspect.

A second Cyber Tip, originating from the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office in New Jersey, further connected Beavers to CSAM activity also committed in Madera County.

Investigators determined Beavers engaged in this criminal behavior while visiting family in Madera County and had since been deployed to Camp Humphreys, South Korea. Upon confirming his location, Madera County Detectives coordinated with the U.S. Army Criminal Investigations Division (CID), who assisted in the investigation and facilitated Beavers’ return to the United States.

On August 23, 2025, members of the Madera County Sheriff’s Investigations Bureau and the Central California Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force took Beavers into custody at Fresno Yosemite International Airport.

He has been booked into the Madera County Jail on felony charges of Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material. His bail is set at $100,000.

“This case is a strong reminder that those who exploit or endanger children will be found, no matter where they are,” said Sheriff Tyson Pogue.

Anyone with information related to this case, or who may know of potential victims, is urged to contact MSCO Detective Andrade at (559) 517-7997 or email MCSOTip@maderacounty.com.
