September 1, 2025 – Mariposa County Library officials announce they have received a generous grant from the Pilcrow Foundation for new children's books.

Enthusiastic readers holding some of their favorite selections from a special display of books at the Mariposa Library, purchased with funding from the Pilcrow Foundation. Thank you to the Pilcrow Foundation for once again providing grant funding to improve our Children's Collection!

The Mariposa County Library has received a generous grant from the Pilcrow Foundation, allowing us to receive 69 new titles of Children’s Literature worth over $1,300. Our own Friends of the Library contributed $200 in matching funds.

Books with beautiful artwork, award-winning authors, and engaging stories will be added at every branch.

Be sure to check out this display during your next visit to the Mariposa branch, and look for Pilcrow Foundation titles on the shelves at all five county branches.
