Crash on Road 426 – Both Vehicles Overturned 

September 1, 2025 – Oakhurst CHP officials report that on Saturday morning at around 10:20 A.M., officers responded to a two-vehicle crash on Road 426 just east of Civic Circle in Oakhurst.

A silver Toyota, driven by a 42-year-old Mariposa man with a 36-year-old Oakhurst woman as a passenger, was traveling westbound in the #1 lane at about 35 MPH. A white Subaru, driven by a 48-year-old Oakhurst woman, was also westbound in the #2 lane at a similar speed.

The driver of the Toyota attempted to turn right toward the Camarena Health parking lot without ensuring the path was clear. The Toyota’s rear end struck the front of the Subaru, causing both vehicles to overturn.

Thankfully, all parties escaped major injuries. The Toyota’s driver and passenger were transported by Sierra Ambulance to Community Regional Medical Center for treatment.

This crash serves as a reminder to always check your surroundings and clear your path before making lane changes or turns. Taking an extra moment to look can prevent serious crashes.
