September 6, 2025 – Tulare County Sheriff’s Office officials report that in March, TCSO Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Detectives received a tip from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), prompting an in-depth investigation into the circumstances.

Detectives identified 42-year-old Christopher William Shepard of Strathmore as the suspect.

On Wednesday, TCSO ICAC and SVU Detectives served a warrant at a home in the 19500 Block of Taylor Road in Strathmore. Shepard, who is a current Sex Offender registrant for a separate case, was taken into custody and booked at the TCSO South County Detention Facility for possession and distribution of child sexual abuse material.
