Sierra Foothill Charter School held its Open House on Thursday, June 2, 2016. Students, their parents and families, and community members all enjoyed visiting both indoor and outdoor classrooms, including the Learning Garden and the amphitheater, to see some of the wonderful projects students have completed this school year.
There was also a book give away table and a place to sign up for the summer "Adopt-a-Garden Program" whereby volunteers each take a week to make sure the garden stays watered and weeded while school is not in session.
Sonora Taco Truck was on campus to provide dinner to those interested.
Students are excited to show off their work to an appreciative audience. Mylee Allen is happy to show her mom, Erika, some of her most recently completed work. Two of Mrs. Stillwell's transitional kindergarten/kindergarten students, Khloe Reynolds and Tyson Shelby, hold up signs and smile for the cameras. Parent Stephanie Evans enjoys her son Reese's school work in Ms. Starchman's third and fourth grade classroom. Grandmother and active volunteer Tina Rios plays with a student in Ms. Stillwell's TK/K classroom. Parents Angie and Arie Brouillette and their son, Wyatt, have big smiles as they take a look at some of Wyatt's work in Ms. Starchman's third and fourth grade classroom.
