September 30, 2025 – Fresno Police Department officials report that on Sunday, September 28, 2025, at 10:49 a.m., Southeast Policing District officers responded to the area of Garrett Avenue and Barton Avenue regarding a stabbing. Officers found 38-year-old Alejandro Garcia suffering from multiple stab wounds to the upper body. Officers and EMS personnel provided first aid, and Garcia was transported to Community Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased at 11:37 a.m.

Homicide detectives learned that Garcia was confronted by a female and two males at the residence. During the confrontation, one of the males stabbed Garcia multiple times in the upper body. After the stabbing, all three suspects fled the area in an unknown type of sedan.

Detectives are currently canvassing the neighborhood, looking for witnesses and security video footage that might have captured the stabbing. Detectives are asking anyone with information about this case to please contact the Fresno Police Department.
