Encampment Operation, Multiple Arrests
October 4, 2025 – Kern County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on October 1, 2025, the Kern County Sheriff’s Office, in collaboration with Kern County Probation, the Bureau of Land Management, and Kern County Code Enforcement, conducted a coordinated warrant sweep and encampment clean-up operation in targeted areas within the Lake Isabella community.
As a result of the operation:
- 18 individuals were arrested on a variety of charges, including felony and misdemeanor warrants.
- One stolen vehicle was located and recovered.
- Several encampments were dismantled including the areas located east of 5800 Lake Isabella Blvd., Erskin Creek at the tunnels near Highway 178, and behind the Ball field.
- Approximately 58 cubic yards of trash were removed and properly disposed of, significantly improving public safety and environmental conditions in the affected areas.

This operation reflects the ongoing commitment of local and federal agencies to uphold public safety, enforce the law, and protect our natural resources. During the operation, Flood Ministries provided education and resources available in Kern County and Mental Health made several referrals for follow up. The Sheriff’s Office extends its appreciation to all partner agencies for their support and collaboration.
