October 5, 2025 – Madera County Sheriff's Office officials report that on Tuesday, Deputies were dispatched to the 22 Mile House Valero station at Highway 41 and Road 208 after a theft was reported.

A suspect fled with merchandise and was quickly located by Deputy Pursell. He initiated a traffic stop at Hwy. 41 and Avenue 15. It resulted in the recovery of all stolen items.

Arrested:

Mario Amal, 33, of Fresno (warrants, theft, narcotics possession)

Danielle Hurt, 25 (public intoxication, paraphernalia)

Both were booked into Madera County Jail.
