October 7, 2025 – CAL FIRE officials report on a recent rescue mission. 

When a goat found itself in a baaaaad situation Friday night — stuck tight between two large rocks-- firefighters from CAL FIRE/San Diego County sprang into action.

The team performed a technical rescue to safely free the trapped goat. After a little teamwork, push, and pull, the goat was back on its hooves — ready to return to fire prevention duties around the neighborhood.
