October 8, 2025 – Mariposa County Library to host a presentation by Mariposa resident Jon Wurl on Thursday, October 23, 2025.

Every bike has a story. Learn about one bike's journey from Redwood City, California, to Madison, Wisconsin. This presentation by Mariposa resident Jon Wurl will present his trek that was 2,000 miles. This will be held on Thursday, October 23 from 5:30 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the Mariposa Branch.

His specialized Stumpjumper, the world's first production mountain bike, will be the focus. The bike will also be one of the featured items at the Mariposa Friends of the Library's silent auction. The auction will take place during the FOL's semi-annual book sale on Friday, November 7 and Saturday, November 8. To learn more, call 209-966-2140.
