Have you heard about our new Bring Your Own Book… Book Club? 

October 25, 2025 – Mariposa County Library officials announce that on the third Wednesday of every month, we gather at the Mariposa Library for a relaxed and welcoming book discussion. Bring a book you've recently read (any genre or format) and share your thoughts with the group. Feel free to bring lunch as well, if it's your break time.

This is a fun way to discover new authors, exchange ideas, and connect with fellow readers. Everyone of all ages are welcome.

It is free, and no registration is required. The library is located at 4978 10th Street. Call 209-966-2140 to learn more.

Please also note that we are starting another round of Zip Books, our grant-funded program in which patrons can request books that don't presently exist in our collection. We order the book from Amazon Prime, ship it directly to your home, and you get to read it for three weeks before bringing it to the library, where it is then added to our collection. So, Zip Books is a great way to obtain books you've been wanting to read, and you could use those books to take part in our Book Club!
