Arrest Made in Madera for Aggravated Sexual Exploitation and Online Communication with a Minor
October 26, 2025 – Madera County Sheriff’s Office officials report that their Investigations Division was recently contacted by the Davis County Sheriff’s Office in Utah regarding an investigation into aggravated sexual exploitation and online communication with a minor believed to have occurred in Madera County.
Through a coordinated investigation, detectives identified 65-year-old Bass Lake resident Matthew William Pressly as the primary suspect.
On October 24, 2025, Madera County Sheriff’s Detectives, in collaboration with the Central California Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), executed a search warrant at a residence located in the 31000 block of Donald Avenue in Madera.
Pressly was contacted at the residence and taken into custody on a No-Bail Extradition Warrant issued by the Davis County Sheriff’s Office. He was subsequently booked into the Madera County Jail, where he remains in custody pending extradition proceedings.
