Hundreds of Thousands in Merchandise Recovered; Two Arrested 

October 29, 2025 – Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office officials report that detectives from the Sheriff's Office General Crimes Unit (GCU) have been investigating the theft of approximately $500,000 in merchandise which was stolen while being shipped from the east coast to an Amazon facility in California.

On Tuesday Detectives served three search warrants, one at a residence in Turlock and the two others at commercial properties in Modesto. GCU Detectives were able to recover 25 pallets of stolen merchandise worth approximately $400,000.

Detectives arrested 58-year-old Ravinder Singh of Turlock and 36-year-old Nepal Singh of Modesto for possession of stolen property. Both men were booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.
