Inspired by the classic piano-bass-drum trios and small Jazz combos of the 40s to the present day, the seasoned, world class musicians that make up The Blue Skies Trio are skilled at playing both smooth, and high energy Jazz music; a true American art form. Returning this year – after an impressive debut with the trio last season – is guest vocalist, 19 year old Jacquie McCourt, who possesses a remarkably mature vocal range, beyond her years.
The Danny Millsap Band
Honky tonk veterans, The Danny Millsap Band, make their Music on the Green debut on Saturday, playing and singing real Country Western music (another true American art form), in the old school style of the genre. As opposed to the modern Pop heard on today’s Country radio format, Millsap and his band’s rootsy, good time rhythm and downhome outlaw singing, might just cause you to want to dance. That’s allowed at the Art Park, so come on out and enjoy.
