Good Food and Great Raffle Prizes at July Breakfast

The NMCHC Community Breakfast on Sunday, July 10th will have some yummy baked goods for raffle prizes as well as gift certificates valued at $25 to $40 for several restaurants. Raffle tickets remain just 3 for one dollar. Breakfast is served by our great group of volunteers from 8 a.m. ‘till 11 a.m. and includes eggs cooked to order, fresh fruit, all-you-can-eat pancakes and a choice of ham or sausage…all for just $5.  A family package (2 adults/2 children) costs just $15.  Whether this is the first time you’ve visited Coulterville or are a “regular”, be sure and come on by… it’s one of the wonderful community events that make Coulterville so special!

This monthly breakfast was one of the very first fund raising activities developed to raise funds to establish a local gold rush era museum…now known as the Northern Mariposa County History Center. It continues to be an important fund raiser, helping to keep the doors of this private, unique, nonprofit museum open 5 days a week, Wednesdays through Sundays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., for 11 months of the year, February through December. Thank you to the many generous donors who contribute such great items to be raffled off!

Volunteer “Help Wanted”

The breakfast crew still needs a few new recruits, particularly for the “second shift”, 10 a.m. – 12 noon.  If you can spare just two hours on the 2nd Sunday every month (or most months), they could really use you!  It is a great way to get to know folks who live or visit the area!  Leave a message at the museum with your contact information, 209-878-3015. Teens welcome, this qualifies for school volunteer credit!

Docent Training and Luncheon

There will be a Docent training and summer celebration for all docents in August.  This is for both current volunteers and those just coming aboard.  If you are interested to learn more about becoming a docent, just a 3-hour monthly commitment, call the museum at 209-878-3015.
